This is ultimately a team game, so players are encouraged to buddy up or find like-minded gamers on the web to play with. Two teams, each consisting for five players, appear of the game map at the start of Dota 2. Teams must work together to destroy their opposing team’s base. In addition to the two teams, which are named Dire and Radiant, there are also AI assistants on hand to aid the teams and help them achieve victory.

Reaching the opposing base is not as easy as it seems at first, as there are plenty of obstacles blocking the path to victory. In addition to a dense jungle to navigate, plenty of surprising lay in wait for gamers and part of the action of the game involves figuring out the best way to overcome these obstacles and reach the ultimate goal before time runs out.

There are lots of twists in the game and unique touches to keep the game fresh and interesting. Many of the characters have special attributes and allies that they can summon in their time of need. The game controls are very smooth and once players understand the main concept and the various options that are available to them they will be able to dive right in and start having fun.

Like in many other games of this type, players have to gain as much gold as they can. This gold can then be traded in for elements that they can use to their advantage such as armour, weapons, magic spells and much more. It is also possible to trade items with other players, adding an extra layer to the game.

Players are provided with extra information as they advance through the game. This information can come in useful as they are presented with fresh new challenges and new things to figure out. The game is beautifully presented and the complexity helps to add an element of mystery that is very engaging.

If there is a downside to Dota 2 it is simply that the game is too good. The addictive nature of other role playing games has been perfectly captured here and players will easily become immersed in this world. Turn off the phone and cancel your appointments, because as soon as you start playing you won’t want to move away from your PC for several hours.
